PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

The show is based on the true romance of writer Alexandre Dumas and Marie Duplessis, who was a French courtesan who passed away tragically from tuberculosis. She was the subject of many of his works, and their failed romance has been retold in many genres over the years.

To this day, La traviata is one of the most-revered and widely-produced operas in the world.
