PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

Atlanta’s UNDERGROUND Theatre wraps up its thirty-fifth Anniversary Season with THE RAINMAKER, a heart-warming romantic comedy by N. Richard Nash.

In this touching American fairy tale, a hard-luck ranching family is magically transformed by a mysterious stranger. Directed by Underground founder Dante Santacroce, THE RAINMAKER runs March 17 through 26 at 8:10pm. downstairs at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta.

The story: When a fast talking stranger appears at a ranch suffering from drought, it might just be everyone's last chance - a rancher's last hope of survival, a con man's last shot at redemption, and a woman's last glimmer of romance. This heartfelt comedy, which has delighted audiences for over fifty years, celebrates the American spirit and proves that with enough faith, all things are possible - magic, rain and, yes, even love.
