PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

The question isn't whether Handel's Messiah will be written, rather how does it rise out of the feuds, jealousies, and political wrangling of the day to create an awe-inspiring "Hallelujah Chorus" and forever change those who were a part of it. Recently produced off-Broadway, this historically-accurate, behind the scenes story of redemption exposes the true story of the jealousies, feuds, and politics that almost prevented the world's best known oratorio, "The Messiah," from ever being written. Main Stage, 14th Street Playhouse.
