PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

A Christmas Carol has gripped the public imagination since it was first published in 1843, and this version is faithful to Charles Dicken's original work. Scrooge was a miser. His money was his life. Then after the apparition of Scrooge’s dead business partner Marley, the ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas as Yet to Come guide Scrooge through his own emotionally charged past, his harsh and loveless present and his bleak future.

The ACT1 Theatre is located on 180 Academy Street in downtown Alpharetta. All performances are on Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm.

I thoroughly enjoyed the production of A Christmas Carol done by ACT1 Theater. The whole cast did a fantastic job! The performance by Scrooge (Derrel Emmerson) was a fresh and energizing adaptation, as were the performances of The Ghost of Christmas Present (Walter Frazier), Bob Cratchit (Joe Baxter), and of course Tiny Tim (Christopher Miller).

Scrooge (Emmerson) put on a compelling performance that I am sure to remember for many years to come. I heartily encourage you to attend.
