PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

ATA's exciting premier season opens July 13th with Neil Simon's hilarious comedy, The Good Doctor. This former Broadway hit is a wonderfully entertaining play based on the writings of the great Russian writer, Anton Chekhov. Simon introduces us to Chekhov as the play's narrator - who then proceeds to take us through a series of hilarious and sometimes poignant vignettes - a world where the simplest story will make you laugh out loud and sometimes cry.

Charming Play

4.0
I had never seen this play by Neil Simon, and I went expecting the normal Simon banter. I was wrong - very wrong. This show has a little of everything for an audience. The play is a series on short scenes - some outrageously funny and some very touching. For a new acting company, I was astounded at the quality of the work, the set, and the acting company. Find a time to see this new company - a thousand times better than I thought they would be - and I am quite picky! [POST A COMMENT REGARDING THIS REVIEW]
