[REVIEW THIS PRODUCTION]
An ambivalent Cinderella? A blood-thirsty Little Red Ridinghood? A Prince Charming with a roving eye? A Witch ... who raps? They're all among the cockeyed characters in James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's fractured fairy tale.

I'd happily go into the woods with this cast any day!
Ive seen several shows at St. Mark, and Ive always been impressed by them, however, this show was amazing. The vocal ability, comedic timing, costuming, and overall entertainment factor was great. We saw the show on Saturday, November 13, two days after opening.
Erica Clausen was a wonderful Cinderella. Her voice is definitely a stand out in the group, and her expressions are priceless. Shes a delight! Russell Rhodes, my, my Mr. Wolfanother great performance! Taylor Driskill as the witch was superb! Amanda Pickard Hardie, who Ive seen in other productions, was spot on as the Bakers wife, and the step-sisters (played by Michelle Jones and Katie ONeill) were delightfully bratty. Diane Haase Clausen was great as Jacks mother, and Tim Gordons Prince was funny and charming. However, Mary Keathe Lee was a real scene stealer as Milky White the cowreally hysterical. All in all a great cast!
St. Mark consistently puts on quality productions due in no small part to the talent they draw and the directors they get. I felt like the stage could have been a little more put together, but for the many different settings in this complex show, it worked. Also, it was somewhat difficult to see all everything that was going on onstage, so when you go, try to sit near the back on the risers. I highly recommend this show! Go!!
