I gave this show a good notice on the ATML, and I'd certainly hate to see its "legacy" on this site rest at a 1. In retrospect there could've been some amount of cutting done in both acts. At one point toward the end of the first act I kept waiting for the next song to arrive...after all, it is a musical. However, when they came the songs carried the show. Rock musicals are quickly becoming a major area of research for me, and this was not a bad example of one that was locally developed. |

What great fun! Harold Leaver's affable elf is the host for a snappy evening of holiday hell as he recounts his stint working at Macy's Santa Land. Fluid direction and creative lighting/sound design back up Leaver's unflagging performance and make this a must-see for the Grinch in all of us! |
