A Midsummer Night's Dream, by Shakespeare
Poss sweet Midsummer REALITY!
Thursday, July 1, 2004
5.0
Now, my review may be a little biased considering i know most of the kids in the show. But i have seen many different versions of Midsummer, and this has been by far the best show i have ever seen. Max Flick was very good as both roles of Theseus and Oberon. Alex Engquist and Zach Safford took my breath away in their portrayals of Demetrius and Lysander respectively. Jamie Link was simply dazzling as Helena, and Hermia was just as amazing played by Kayla Fikis. Jessica Marks also did fantastic performing the role of Titania. However David Olson.... what can i say about this kid.... i have worked with this kid on numerous occasions and his portrayal of Nick Bottom was unbelieveable. He keeps surprising me with his talents, he is going far. Mark Shaw too! I have never seen a better Puck in my life. I also thoroughly enjoyed the fairies. Their acrobatic skills surprised me and fit well into the show. Props to the director for a sweet vision. The entire show was amazing, and the lights and sounds also were great. Good Job Jennifer! I know its hard. Sweet Midsummer Reality Ya'll! Stay for Bad Eggs aftewards! on friday and saturday nights!
