Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, by Andrew Lloyd Webber
FCFT & The Amazing Technicolor Production
Wednesday, July 20, 2005
5.0
Having flown from New York City to see this production, I was thoroughly impressed with this magnificent grand-scaled creation. From the moment thirty colorful children ran down the aisles until the stunning curtain call with the entire cast, I had a smile ear-to-ear. Of particular note, Al Mindoro as Joseph and Emma Stitt as Narrator give standout performances with their soothing and powerful voices. The supporting cast continues the wonderful performances with excellent characterizations and superb vocals. The Children Choir should also be commended for their tender, yet, powerful chorus, elevating the production. The production itself was great. The lights were phenomenal, conveying the subtle messages and shifting mood visually to the audience. The costumes provided a kaleidoscope of colors appealing to our eyes and building the lavishness of the production. Finally, the vocals throughout the show were outstanding, uplifting, and near flawless. A great story presented by a great theatre in a great production. Five out of five stars.
