WONDERLAND, by
Fun in a foreign language
Wednesday, October 18, 2006
3.0
Wonderland is a great showcase for some wonderful young talent, and a fun production to experience visually....costumes and choreography are really wonderful and fun. Fun to watch...and it seemed liek the kids really had fun too. The songs are fun too, but my biggest complaint is that the words were mostly unintelligible. I don' t know whether to blame the sound system (music was too loud and covered up voices), or that the wireless mikes distorted the voices, or just that the performers got too excited and spoke too fast, but it had the effect, for me at least, of seeming like I was in a foreign country seeing a show in a strange language I understood only a few words of. Oh well...but it was fun anyway!
