The Merry Wives of Windsor, by William Shakespeare
Great performance by a new Atlanta theater company

4.0
I respectfully disagree with Ophelia98's review. I found the production to be extremely entertaining. The derogatory statements regarding the costumes in this production was especially unwarranted in my opinion. The costumes of the women in the production were especially rich and perfect to the period. The French Dr.Caius was extremely entertaining. Sir John Falstaff is perfectly portrayed as the pompous braggart. Sir John's two henchmen, Pistol and Nym were wonderful characters and I throughly enjoyed their betrayal of Sir John. I must add that on the night I attended the show, the audience was most receptive to the performance and it appeared that they also found it quite funny. Overall I find this to be an excellant presentation of one of Shakespeare's lesser known comedies.
