A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens
Holiday Joy! Everyone must come see this!
Tuesday, December 2, 2008
5.0
I'm totally new to the Atlanta area, so my discovery of this theatrical showing of "A Christmas Carol" at the Rosewater Theatre in Roswell was completely accidently, thankfully due to the word of mouth of my friends and neighbors. What a find! If a joyous theatrical performance like this doesn’t get you in the holiday mood, nothing will. The acting and stage presentation is extremely professional. Both young Scrooge and old Scrooge are at the top of their game, both are professional quality actors. The directing in particular is extremely wonderful (what a great use of a theatre-in-the-round space!) and this is one of the best shows I've seen in years. I've heard through the grapevine that this production of "A Christmas Carol" is a homecoming of sorts for Roswell; the same group that did this back at the old Roswell Village Playhouse has come home to bring the tradition back to Roswell. What a fantastic story, and what a heart-warming production. Many people need to see this show. Please spread the word to your friends and family to see this professional quality production in Roswell, just like my friends and neighbors did for me! There are many theatres doing "A Christmas Carol", and many will tell you its their tradition, but this is the one real tradition everyone must come an see. By doing so, you will support a fabulous theater, an incredible theatrical event, and a bunch of talented performers.
