The Nerd, by Larry Shue
Very Funny, Well Done
Wednesday, September 1, 2010
4.5
I saw THE NERD at Kudzu this past weekend and I was very impressed. I saw the show before, but was suprised to find so many new jokes and takes on what I'd seen in the past. There was a great crowd (almost full) and everyone enjoyed it from start to end. Lots of laughs all the way through and cheering during the curtain call. The cast was great ... all did their parts very well. Greg Fitzgerald as Willum and John Stanier as Axel were very stong in their roles. His drunken one liners made the audince crack up throughout. Snapper Morgan made a good Rick (the Nerd) and rocks a gorilla suit. Chelsea Knost was great as Tansy. The Walgrave family was well played by Allen Clark, Janeen Simpson and Leandray Thiverge. It was a good night and I would recommend this play to anyone who wants a good laugh.
