Tales of Edgar Allen Poe, by Bobby Box (adapted) & Jon Ludwig
Tremendous Show
Tuesday, February 11, 2003
5.0
I am sad that I did not see the show until the closing performance, so this review will not help.

I just wanted to say how incredibly impressed I was with the entire production. Combining Poe's tales into one seamless production was quite a feat...as adapting can usually kill the mood of the orignal work. The Center's creative team really came together to create a deliciously dark mood with it's superb lighting, set and sound details. Having the actors visible along with the puppets was another marvelous touch.

I have been consistently impressed by what the Center for Puppetry Arts does artistically. They never fail to inspire me. However, the Tales of Edgar Allen Poe was so incredibly stunning that it finally kicked my ass into joining the Center as a member.

Thanks for a tremendous show!
