Blown away!

Just as all the greek masters would have wished me to, I cried in this production, and my heart was pounding nonstop. With this year's absense of the previous North Springs legends, (Andrew Durand, Jimi Kocina, Nikki Dillon, Kate Binkow, Amber Moorer...) I had heard a lot of crap about how this high school would never be as outstanding as it once was. But all who doubted were wrong! From Lindsey Garrett's breath-taking Antigone to each member of the Chorus, I saw some of the most amazing preformances of my life. Lindsey Garrett to start was beautiful and is finally recieving some recognition for her talent, thank God. She was commanding and as strong as I've ever seen Antigone played. Max Flick as Creon was wonderful as well. he carried the weight of the show masterfully and gave his best preformance yet. Alex Enquist as Haimon was the perfect combination of defiant and sensitive, giving a new light to his charcter that I've never seen before. Shannon McKenna clearly should have gotten more roles in her high school career, and I really liked her Ismene. David Olsen is my new hero, and Jessica Marks gave her small role all the magnitude and depth that it was owed. She was stunning. The real shocker of the night was Sarah Laxer, who was for the first time really showcased. Her mannerisms and gestures and inflection were wonderfully twisted and great fun to watch. She really pulled you in! The chorus was completely in tune with one another and they obviously worked very hard. Give this incredible cast the attention it deserves, and see Antigone before it goes to GTC! Good luck guys! [POST A COMMENT REGARDING THIS REVIEW]
