PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

Nominated by the New York Drama League for best production of the 1999 New York Off-Broadway season, this romantic journey was a hit in New York, Edinburgh, and Piccolo Spoleto. In 1940 on a cross=country train from California, May and Raleigh meet and discover that they are from the same part of rural Kentucky. When they meet again, will they find happiness on the old Southern home-front? Take the train ride with two unforgettable characters in this new American classic.
