PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

The story surrounds the lives of Kate Griswald, a workaholic TV comedy writer in New York, and her domineering mother-- Grace. As Grace begins to show signs of Alzheimer’s Disease, Kate is required to make decisions and cope with her mother’s illness. Her father Jack, a dentist, adds to Kate’s misery as he moves into mid-life crisis mode. The play, written by Trish Vradenburg who is herself a comedy writer for such shows as “Family Ties”, and “Designing Women”, contains comic elements and pathos that are part of the experience of Alzheimer’s Disease.
