PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

The magic of Frank Capra's film classic, It's A Wonderful Life, one of the most heartwarming and popular Christmas stories of all time, returns to the Historic Marietta Square on the stage of the Class Act Theatre for its sixth year. The play begins in the heavenlies, where a couple of angels are discussing the fate of George Bailey, a mortal man who has reached his life's darkest hour, and is on the brink of suicide. The bumbling angel Clarence, who has been trying for over 200 years to earn his wings, is chosen to help George. He eagerly accepts his mission. Taking his cue, Clarence descends to Earth with a miraculous intervention, and George learns in the process that "no man is a failure who has friends."
