PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

An intricate show. The plot, blocking and lines are all very intricate.

4.0
This show was phenomenal. I cannot believe it has been posted before this, since it is arguably the best show that Brookwood has done in the past five years. I understand it was double casted, but I only saw the Thursday and Saturday night shows. The set was huge, it was actually a little too big (it got caught on the light curtain between acts). The lights cues were great, though they were not always executed perfectly. Mrs. Clackett started the show off with a bang. She had immense comic timing and made the audience laugh immediately. Lloyd Fellowes or Travis Hockswender, I should say, was excellent. I enjoyed his characterization immensely. I also noticed him saving others quite often, having seen this play many times. Belinda was incredible! I have seen the Noises Off movie with Marilu Henner and I have read the play in various scene-studies, but I have never seen a better Belinda. Every single moment came from deep within her, I thought she was radiant. The actor who played Vicki handled the role with surprising maturity for a highschool actress. Tim and Selsdon were surprisingly good supporting roles with many good moments each. Freddy had another great performance. The only sore points, in my opinion were Poppy and the Scene transitions (for reasons I have already mentioned). [POST A COMMENT REGARDING THIS REVIEW]
