PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

Marki Shalloe takes audiences on a trip back to the summer of 1961, at the best whorehouse in the French Quarter- BABYLON. Madam suspects one of her girls is stealing money. She hires Persephone, a devout young woman with a mysterious past, to keep an eye on who's taking more than their share, as well as to work as manicurist to the star attraction: a transgendered prostitute called Virgin Mary. An unlikely bond forms between Persephone and Mary, but what will happen when both girls catch the eye of a suave harmonica player? A spellbinding, lyrical thriller from the author of The Suicide Manual and One Hand Clapping, where no one is what they seem, and all are willing to go to extremes to protect the illusion.
