PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

Set in 1960 Skid Row, the musical takes place in Mushnik's Skid Row Florer Shop. It tells the story of orphan and outcast, Seymour Krelborn; the "strange and interesting" plant he purchased after a total eclipse of the sun; and Seymour's secret love for shop girl, Audrey. As Seymour and the plant become an overnight sensation, Seymour learns of the plant's bloodthirst cravings, although he is unaware that the plant is an alien wishing to take over the earth. A spoof on 1950's sci-fi movies, Little Shop of Horrors is one of off-Broadway's longest running shows.
