PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

“If you like gospel voices smoked in honey, a deep fried beat, sex, sass and a touch of Chekhov, you’ll love this tale of “Three Sistahs.” –stagespace.com A new blues & pop musical about sibling affection and family ties set in the era of Vietnam and civil rights battles. Three sisters – an idealistic activist, a suburban housewife and a diligent professor - are all that is left of the Bradshaw family of Washington, DC in the autumn of 1969 as they gather for the third year in a row for a funeral. Two years ago it was Mamma. Last year it was Daddy. This year it is their only brother. When they return to pack up the family home sparks fly as they share wine, memories, dreams and secrets. During their last night in their childhood home, three sistahs must determine what family now means to them.
