A Tremedous Show

5.0
This was one of the best productions of this show that I have ever seen. I actually liked it better than Georgia Ensembles recent version. You really believed that the women in the show were friends. All of these women did a fab job, but special kudos to Tomi Lavinder as Mlynn and Pam Sharpe as Clairee. Their timing was excellent. I must give credit to director, Rob Hardie for guiding this ensemble to a very believable and heart warming experience. His staging worked very well. I highly recommend this show. I did hear some noise backstage, and that was distracting. The curtain speech about a Christian band was a bit strange as well. But I guess they needed to promote them for a show. That is the worst that i can say, I'm afraid. Also, the ambiance at this theater was nice, but I wish they had sold drinks at intermission. I guess I am getting too Picky. The show it's self, the acting and direction: I give a solid 5. [POST A COMMENT REGARDING THIS REVIEW]

I have to agree, this is a great ensemble cast. I might have rated it a 5, but the lighting was a bit dim and there were no programs. All six women were great, but I must say that there were some stand outs. the actress playing Annelle was not just playing her, she WAS her. The dynamics between mother and daughter were very close to what I saw in my household growing up. The comic timing of Ouiser and Claree just stole the show. I saw this 2 years ago in Acworth, and enjoyed it then. This production is even better. Kudos to the director for his casting eye and his staging. This show is worth seeing. I would have liked to have seen a set with more pictures, knick knacks etc, but I guess I am picking at straws. Job well done ladies! [POST A COMMENT REGARDING THIS REVIEW]
