PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

The classic story of the bookish town beauty, Belle, and her dotty inventor father Maurice. After Maurice is lost in the the woods and takes shelter in an enchanted castle, Belle trades her freedom for that of her father. At the mercy of a terrible Beast, Belle is consoled by a variety of enchanted objects, including Mrs. Potts, Lumiere, Babbette and Cogsworth. Townspeople including local hero Gaston and his hapless sidekick LeFou add to this lavish musical extraviganza, and the "tale as old as time" plays out on stage.
