PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

Adapted by Jon Ludwig
2006-07 Family Series

Trash is turned into treasure and true love prevails in Jon Ludwig’s latest adaptation of Beauty & the Beast. Puppets are made from brooms, umbrellas, rakes and even shopping bags. Unfolding on a set that features a cityscape design, this modern adaptation reveals the diverse backgrounds of the people found there. You’ll hear everything from hip-hop tunes to Spanish words and phrases, all designed to reflect the world around us. Don’t miss this fantastic tale where the characters are so much more than their junk yard parts.
