PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

Charismatic pastor Jerry Mears auditions for the top job at the biggest Baptist church of them all, preaching to a congregation of thousands and having tea with Presidents. But when Philip Gottschall, the aging church leader, clings to his dynasty, the stage is set for a clash of wills and wits worthy of the latest Wall Street merger.

Dueling Texas televangelists duke it out over the 10 o’clock service, with faith caught in the middle.

A touching, humorous look at religion in the age of the mass media.
