PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

"Not Another Christmas Carol!!" Blackwell Playhouse, Canton Rd. in Marietta, is pleased to present a brand new adaptation of BABES IN TOYLAND--Music by Victor Herbert, Book by Glen McDonough--Freely adapted with new lyrics by Director Stephen R. Sisson.
In this new version of a holiday classic, Evil Uncle Barnaby is plotting to wed sweet Mistress Mary Quite Contrary and at the same time get rid of her fiancee Hero.
Along the way they encounter the friendly inhabitants of Mother Goose Land including Little Bo Peep, Jack Horner, Three Blind Mice, Mary and her little lamb, Mother Hubbard and a host of others. Eventually the hero and heroine end up in Toyland-home to the mysterious TOYMASTER and his machine that turns wooden toys real. All of the action wraps up with a visit from a 10 feet tall Mother Goose that has to be seen to be believed. Bring the family for this holiday classic with a new twist.
