PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

A repertory of multimedia performances featuring Juha Theater's "Orange". Combining text, music, visuals and movement, the newest work by the bold and original troupe based in Hawaii and San Francisco looks at modern life, love, sex, wayward boys gone crazy for Justin Timberlake, voodoo exhibitions and feminem-degenerate hip hop in a music box medicine show performed by aliens from outer space. Also featured: "The Most Unlikely People Confess To Their Dreams". Director Rajni Shah and five artists from different artistic and personal backgrounds collaborated on this unique and inspiring piece. From a two-part workshop rehearsal process comes a performance in which each person's dream is mapped on to the body of another. Carrie Elzey, Topher Payne, Theron Schmidt, Jill Sullivan, and Carmillia Zion each dare to hand their dream over to another, and to have it soar beyond itself. The end result is five intimate solos incorporating performance art, installation, writing, dance and original music.
