A riotous one-person show in which the receptionist at a swank New York restaurant portrays 40 different characters he has to deal with.

Bill Murphey works very hard in this show, and does a great job with a near impossible task. He's likeable, funny, and touching at times. The only thing that worked my nerves a bit were the phones, but he made it worth it. There's no intermission, go to the bathroom before you sit down. [POST A COMMENT REGARDING THIS REVIEW] |

I loved this production. When a first read the play a month or so ago, I thought it was an amusing bit of fluff; but seeing it performed by a highly competent actor made it fly! Filled with distinct characterizations and well-aimed satire, it was a tour-de-force for actor Bill Murphey. And, it has an essential quality for a week-night show -- it was over by 9:15.
