4.0
A play that aspires to nothing more than silly parody, and, for the most part, hits that target in the bulls-eye. As thin as cellophane, the play is filled with Marietta/Atlanta "in-jokes," none of which need to be understand to enjoy the parody. The actors, with one exception, are good enough to raise the people from caricature to character, and to find moments of grace and sympathy, in spite of all the silly doings happening. The one exception wasn't bad enough to pull down the whole production (and double-strength tights with a dance belt would have made him less distracting). The venue was perfect for the show, and writer, director, cast, and crew all hit the right notes. [POST A COMMENT REGARDING THIS REVIEW]
