PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

A documentary play about the history of Sevananda Natural Foods cooperative, its place in Atlanta, and its influence on the lives of people all over town. Inspired by the techniques of Anna Deavere Smith and other documentary playmakers, the company interviewed Sevananda members, shoppers, and employees, as well as passers-by on the street. Two actors embody dozens of people, allowing them in their own words to tell their Sevananda stories.
