PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

Audiences will enjoy the popular music of the 1940’s and learn a little history about the performers who traveled the USO Camp Show Circuit to entertain the troops during WWII. The show includes nostalgic reminiscences from the Andrews Sisters who were often called “darlings of the Camp Show Circuit.” An ensemble of eight singers will feature many of the ballads and jazz standards made famous by Frank Sinatra, Jo Stafford, Bing Crosby, and countless others. Also included are some of the Christmas favorites written and arranged by Irvin Berlin. Guest Stars from the community will be stopping by each night to lend their voices to this fitting tribute to “the soldiers in greasepaint” who tirelessly entertained the troops at home and abroad during WWII.
