PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

Based on the Joseph Conrad Novel, The Secret Agent tells the story of Verloc, his wife Winnie, and Winnie's austic brother Stevie.

Verloc is an agent of an enemy state and an avowed anarchist. When Verloc's new handler asks him to plant a bomb, he returns home distresses. Winnie confronts him and asks him to take the boy under his wing. Verloc uses the boy to plant the bomb, but Stevie trips, setting off the bomb an killing him. Verloc immediately falls under suspicion and when confronted by investigators tells the tale thinking Winnie is not listening.

However Winnie confronts Verlock, kills him, and runs to Waterloo train station with the help of a prospective lover. When the lover desserts her, having taken her money, Winnie mourns the loss of all she values and throws herself from the train.
