PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

Meet the whole gang at this popular southern Diner in this longtime Atlanta musical favorite by Tom Edwards. This is the very popular show seen for over a year at the old Gene and Gabe's in Midtown. The Diner is open and Della's in a tizzy over what's happening on Morning Glory Mountain. Will Connie Sue jump prison? Will Della ever get over "Chi-CA-gooo"? And just WHY are Baby Joey's eyes glowing in his head? Curious minds want to know! It's soap-opera musical at it's best! Great music, lots of laughter, and tons of foot-stomping. You'll never look at a ketchup bottle the same again!

a real good time.....

4.0
Well, if you've been followin' Della through her trial and tribulations, then you know what's up. For this production, (a different cast from the one last spring) I'd give the cast a 4+, the music a 5, set a 5, but the script is a little slim. But then, no one expected this to be an intellectual comedy.....! But it's well worth the trip.

Onstage Atlanta's new home is on the way to being really nice. It is very different from what I expected - sort of a circus of colors - but comfortable with potential. Good luck on the new digs. [POST A COMMENT REGARDING THIS REVIEW]

OnStage is new in a lot of ways, but especially the new theater and stage. It is in the old Belk's Department Store at Suburban Plaza in Decatur. You can still smell the paint and see the sawdust it is so new.

And as for Della's #4 the acting was great, the music great, directing "great", but the play was #4.
Would I see it again? Yup, probably would, the cast is a very accomplised group.

Oh, and OnStage is NEW. [POST A COMMENT REGARDING THIS REVIEW]
