PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

The Season will begin with a tribute to the past with a revival of the Theatre’s most successful non-musical to date. Dearly Departed written by David Bottrell and Jessie Jones will open September 12th and run through the 29th, 2002. In the back roads of a small Southern town, a beleaguered family proves that living and dying in the South is seldom tidy and always hilarious. Dearly Departed was originally produced by the prestigious Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven before moving on to its critically-acclaimed Off-Broadway production at the Second Stage Theatre in New York in 1991. It has since been produced in hundreds of regional theatres around the U.S. as well as in the U.K. and Australia.
