PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

A true story, Gregory Murphy's "The Countess" tells the story of the scandal that stunned 19th-Century English society. It involves a love triangle between renowned art critic John Ruskin, his strong-willed wife Effie and the Pre-Raphaelite painter John Everett Millais. There is only one final showing left on Sunday Feb 9th at 7 pm at Push Push Theatre. The Countess is being performed as part of The Essential Theatres 2003 Festival of New American Plays along with Fuddy Meers and Speaking Nazi.
