The Experts Say...

Atlanta Journal Constitution
by Wendell Brock
October 20, 2000
Wendell sez this production is "crisp, sexy and cleverly staged". He says the cast is chock-filled with a brat pack (a randy bunch) with a sense of fun. Janice Akers' Titania is hailed as "vixenish," and Damon Boggess' Lysander, Tara Ochs' Helena, Saxon Palmer's Puck and Jonathan Davi's Bottom receive kudos. He loves the full-blown, orange moon that serves as the centerpiece of the set as well as Klimchak's live "atmoshperically perfect" score.

Creative Loafing
by Curt Holman
October 26, 2000
Curt sez this play leaves you "haunted by images that literally seem like the stuff that dreams are made of." He says that Saxon Palmer gives Puck "an anarchic physicality" and that Jonathan Davis as Bottom "proves especially amusing." He praises Mark Pirolo's costumes and Rochelle Barker's set.

Southern Voice
by Jim Farmer
November 07, 2000
Jim sez that this is "one of those productions that seems to pop up locally at least every six months or so." He calls "A Midsummer Night's Dream" "refreshing" and "a crowd pleaser" and the cast "charismatic."

Hunny's Review of Midsummer

One word. Brilliant. I saw a special performance for my college class and I have to say I was absolutely capitivated.
Saxon Palmer had us rolling in seats, as did Jonathan Davis. Klimchak's score was perfectly fitted to the moods and movements of Garner's direction, eerie in moments of fear and cheerful in moments of merriment.
Janice Akers' Titania was absolutely remarkable and Mark Kincaid's performance was very worthy of praise.
The entire production was hilarious and moving, enlightening and frightening.
Hunny gives it a 5 out of 5 [POST A COMMENT REGARDING THIS REVIEW]
