[REVIEW THIS PRODUCTION]
In July, Synchronicity Performance Group and Plain Sight Productions are gonna take it easy. After producing six wildly successful 24-Hour Plays at a breakneck pace over the past 16 months, we thought it would be nice to slow things down for a change. So we’re breaking our rules.
We’ve read through the 48 scripts that have been written since January 1999. We’ve chosen our 8 favorites. "I died a little with each piece I had to strike from the list," producer Jillian St. Charles was heard exclaiming. "These pieces all embody the spirit of The 24-Hour Plays: brilliant, creative, and a little manic," said producer Hope Mirlis.
"Thank God we have time to edit," producer Amy Baratt simply stated.
We’re bringing back the original performers, directors and writers. The writers have one month to edit their pieces. On May 3, (and not a day later), the scripts will be handed over to the original directors who will once again assemble all-star casts. Another month will pass while these artists carefully craft the short plays to perfection. Clint Thornton, director of Ashes to Ashes, Spud to Spud said, "What the heck am I going to do with all that time? I did this in a day the first time!"
