PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

Meet France, a woman approaching middle age who has been drinking most of her life. Her claim to a bartender that "It takes four glasses to make an alcoholic" sends her stumbling down memory lane, recalling the four pivotal drinks that made the bottle her best friend. Along the way, we spend the holidays with her erratic, fruitcake-obsessed mother, attend a funeral with her gruff grandmother, and experience her First Time, observed by her childhood imaginary friend, a porn star know as "Girl With Braids."
This antidote to usual holiday fare comes from the same mind that brought last season's hit comedy "One Hand Clapping," as well as Onstage Atlanta's recent thriller "Ariadne's Thread." "Four Glasses" was workshopped as part of Process Theatre's Plays In Process series, and The Process is pleased to present this latest work from one of Atlanta audiences' favorite emerging playwrights.
