PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

“Quilters” combines music, dance, and scenes of dramatic intensity in a tribute to the courage and the spirit of our nation’s pioneer women. Critics have called “Quilters” a show “pieced together with love and stitched with pride”. The cast of seven women take you on the journey of the early pioneer women for whom quilting was both a practical chore and a means of expressing themselves. They tell the story of the long trip west, homesteading, Indian raids and prairie fires; of courtship, marriage, children and loss.
Tickets are $15 and include dessert selections, coffee, show, tax and tip. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling the Holly Box Office at 706-864-3759 or sending an e-mail to tickets@hollytheater.com
“Quilters” is being sponsored by the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Woman’s History Project and Women’s Life Insurance. The Legacy Quilt to be used in the production was crafted by the Golden Stitches Quilt Guild and will be raffled for charity to support NOA.
